Privacy policy

Effective 7 October 2026. This policy covers PaperReady (com.paperready.app), published by NK Tools.

1. Documents stay on your device

PaperReady processes selected PDF documents and photos locally. No PaperReady account is needed. We do not upload your documents to a processing server. Drafts, source copies, thumbnails and generated PDFs remain in app-private storage. Android backup of this content is disabled.

Document contents, filenames, thumbnails and PDF passwords are not supplied by PaperReady to advertising systems. Passwords are used to open the selected document and are not saved. Working copies and exported PDFs are unprotected, as explained before password entry.

2. Choosing, saving and sharing files

You select documents through Android file or photo pickers, or explicitly share them to PaperReady. The app does not request broad storage access. Camera capture is handled by your chosen camera app. PaperReady does not request precise location.

Saving, sharing or printing sends the selected PDF to the storage provider, receiving app or print service you choose. Those services may handle the document under their own policies. Imported source files are not overwritten. Review your PDF before sharing; this toolkit is not a secure redaction tool.

3. Advertising and privacy choices

All tools are free. PaperReady uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform. The advertising SDK may collect and share IP addresses (used to estimate approximate location), device or account identifiers including advertising and app-set IDs, app/ad interactions and diagnostics for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Google states that its advertising SDK encrypts transmitted data using TLS.

Applicable privacy choices are handled by Google's consent SDK before ad requests are allowed. Settings shows Advertising privacy choices when available. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Document tools continue to work when ads or network access are unavailable.

4. Retention and deletion

Drafts and exports are kept locally until you remove them, clear app storage or uninstall PaperReady. Delete drafts and app-private exports separately. Copies saved or shared elsewhere are not deleted when the app copy is removed. Save important outputs outside the app before uninstalling.

There is no PaperReady account or server-side document database to delete. Google retains advertising data under its policies; removing local files does not delete Google's records. Use Google's privacy controls for those records. Contact us about information you send directly to support.

5. Support and website hosting

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond and resolve your request, retaining correspondence only as needed for that purpose and applicable obligations. You can request deletion of support correspondence. Please avoid sending private documents or passwords.

This static website uses no analytics, advertising scripts or accounts. Cloudflare hosts it and processes ordinary connection data, including IP addresses and technical request details, to deliver and secure it. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

6. Audience and updates

PaperReady is a general document utility and is not directed at children under 13. We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date identifies this version.
